Overview of the Old Testament (Bible concentration)
Winter 2012
January 20 - March 9, 2012
Several years ago, we taught a class by going over the minor twists and turns in the Old Testament narrative, as well and the more famous charaters and events. Often we remember the major characters and happenings. However, the supporting cast of people and events bring depth and nuance to the Old Testament story. In this course, we will review larger portions of the Old Testament story through an ongoing question, answer and reflection method.

Practics: Spiritual Formation - Liturgical Journey 2010
Summer Reading: Each Summer we read a book together and create structured opportunities for interaction with each other and the text.
Liturgical Prayer Journey: As the Christian year cycles, we will take time to encounter the different seasons of the church, beginning with Advent and following through Christ the King Sunday.  Each season of the Church year affords us opportunities to enliven our spiritual practices and develop new practices associated to the season and to experience a variety of historical methods of prayer.  Methods are adapted from the various eras in the life of the church.  This starts in the morning with breakfast and continues to noon.  Dates are announced that coincide with various festivals of the church.
